NIFT Srinagar Celebrates the 77th Anniversary of India's Independence with Festivities Galore

The 15th of August, 2023, Srinagar.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Srinagar Celebrates 77th Independence Day with Unwavering Enthusiasm and Patriotic Fervour. Campus Enveloped in Vibrant Colours and Energetic Performances, Demonstrating Institute's Dedication to Unity and Celebration. 

The renowned Director began the day by raising the flag in a gesture that exemplified the values of togetherness and pride. In a display of unwavering commitment, the NIFT community witnessed a spirited police parade that captivated onlookers. In spite of the scorching heat, a large number of students, faculty members, and staff members with enthusiasm to show their patriotic spirit and dedication.

The festivities were kicked off by a captivating rendition of Vande Mataram by the students, showcasing their unwavering love for the nation. Followed by a  mesmerising cultural dance, and then a dance competition that showcased the student's creative abilities. Soul captivating performance by a Foundation Program illuminated Transgender Rights, a Punjabi Folk Tradition dance hyped the crowd, a Army Soldiers's Tribute performance by Anju, a Semester 5th student, touched the hearts of the attendees and the lively beats of the live band elevated the festive celebration's atmosphere even further. 

Distinguished individuals were presented with awards in recognition of their remarkable accomplishments during a renowned awards presentation. Student’s sense of patriotism is rekindled as a result of an eloquent lecture delivered by a distinguished member of the faculty named Shashi Ranjan.

Following a rejuvenating pause with a delightful refreshments, the celebration continues on after the performances have ended. A lively Rangoli Competition sparks creativity not only among the competitors but also among the spectators;  As the day went on, the afternoon was filled with a series of spectacular sporting events that were the main focus of the audience's attention. A furious game of tug-of-war was one of the highlights of the event. During the game, the children displayed their unshakeable commitment and strength. Volleyball bouts, in addition to the tug of war, contributed to the spirit of good sportsmanship and celebration that was there.  Participants and onlookers alike were left with a sense of satisfaction and happiness at the end of the day because it was the ideal combination of artistic expression and athletic skill. Overall, the day was a success.

At the 77th Independence Day celebration held by NIFT Srinagar, solidarity, creativity, and patriotism were displayed in a way that was both seamless and effective. The significance of the incident demonstrates how important it is to work together in order to achieve development and freedom.
